Notes on fitting this IC

  • Please observe anti static precautions at all times
  • Please insert the IC into the turned pin IC socket the correct way around observing the indent and notch at the end of the IC
  • Have a good look around on the main board before fitting to see if any components are damaged or burnt.

How do you know if your IC is faulty?

  • If you are replacing the IC on a Martin Mac and the IC is faulty, then you may be getting an error code flashing on the display or one part of the light isn't working as it should when operated form the lighting desk.
  • It's not always the IC, it could be your wiring loom in the unit itself that has caused the IC to go faulty so take great care and check your looms as the new IC you put in could get damaged.
  • In some instances the IC you are replacing may have literally blown its top or cracked in half or a crater appears in the middle of it; have a good look at the main board to see if any other components look like they are damaged, burnt, cracked - this is a tell tale sign the IC has gone faulty taking out more than just the IC itself.
  • If you have more than one of the same IC on the main board you could try swapping it ,but only after checking everything else, you will  then see if that channel is working correctly; if not then the IC is faulty.

Returns

The IC is sent out to you fully working and tested It is brand new and is packed well in a plastic IC tube inside an antistatic bag, it is then put into a padded envelope. We do not accept returns, this is only due to all the above information given, and the nature of the product.
